Our Winter Skills classes allow players to who want to take their game to the next level spend focused time developing their skillset of choice. Below are a list of offerings we have over the winter that you can select from:​

Freestyle Footskillz

Aimed at ball mastery. Most of the activities will be one player/one ball to maximize the amount of touches on the ball and repetition. Classes will be led by Coach Thulani and Coach Carlos.

 

Striker Finishing

Teaching the fundamentals of proper shooting form, stressing the ability to take quality shots with both the strong and the weak foot, and relentlessly drilling goal-scoring situations that commonly occur in games. Classes will be led by Coach Thulani and Coach Carlos.

 

Goalkeeper Training

Goalkeepers will spend part of the session working on proper technique and then be able to apply what they learned in live situations with field players.  Classes will be led by Coach Eric.

 

Future Stars

Geared toward new players or those that participate in a rec program.  Each week will be a balance of working on both technical and tactical skills followed by a scrimmage.  Classes will be led by Coach Carlos and Coach Adam.

 

Little Stars

Activities are filled with soccer specific games and activities to instill fun and passion for the game of soccer. Classes will be led by Coach Carlos.

 

Futsal (Street Soccer)

Fun, fast paced small sided soccer game originating in South America. Great for all ages of youth players, Futsal develops technical skill and ability in the tight spaces of the five-a-side game format where technique matters. players enjoy many more touches on the ball than in a traditional soccer game. In Futsal, players often find themselves one-on-one against opponents where quick decision making is most important. With the opposition constantly attacking, maintaining possession of the ball is critical and this helps develop great passing and close ball control skills  Coach Myron will be leading the futsal classes again this winter.

 

Speed & Agility Program

This program will help you develop the skills and techniques necessary to enhance your speed, agility and athletic performance.

 

Position Specific Training

Led by Coach Carlos this program will focus on "position-specific activities, identifying and addressing positional roles, with both technical and tactical applications.
