Academy is SCSA's introduction to travel soccer, providing young players with a balance of development, competition, and fun. Through a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment, players develop a love for the game while building the skills and confidence that lay the foundation for long-term success.

Further Season Information
There 5 Game Days in a season hosted at Columbus, Bloomington, Westside United, St. Francis, and SCSA.
On Game Day, each team plays 2 games for a total of 10 league games in a season.
There are 2 tournaments each season. One tournament hosted in the Indianapolis area and one hosted by SCSA at the end of the season.
Game Day rosters are primarily made by mixing players of various skill levels. Rosters are made week to week by the Academy Director in assistance with team coaches.
Practice Information
Please wear a gray practice shirt, shin guards, and cleats.
Always bring water and an appropriate sized ball, size 3 for U8.
At these ages, the training emphasis is on ball confidence and 1v1 situations, while developing foundational soccer habits and technical skill. Training sessions are designed to maximize touches on the ball, develop confidence & creativity, and encourage individual decision making.
Additional Information
All team communication and scheduling is done though PlayMetrics app.
All Academy players have access to Techne, a personal soccer training app.
All Academy players have access to additional free technical training, goal keeping training, and winter training.
