Since 1980, the SCSA Recreational Program in Bargersville, IN of Johnson County, has been providing the opportunity for the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on high-level pressure to win. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, play with a sense of team and community, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

Key Information​​

• Players need to have cleats, shinguards, water bottle, and an age-appropriate soccer ball:

  • U8 and younger: size 3

  • U9-U12: size 4

  • U13 and older: size 5

• Jerseys are provided

  • White jerseys are for home games​

  • Color jerseys are for away games

• Players must provide their own socks and shorts​.

• All team communication will be through PlayMetrics after registration.

Little Stars and U6 games will be played on Saturdays at 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, or 12PM

U8 and older teams games will be played on Saturdays at 9AM, 10:15AM, 11:30AM, or 12:45PM

Registration Information​

A player's age at the time of registration does not determine the age group in which they will play. Age groups are based on the player's age within the soccer calendar year (August 1-July 31). To find out what age group your player will be playing in, click here.​

Coaching Information​

As with any recreation program, SCSA relies on parent volunteer coaches.

All coaches will be background checked by the Indiana Soccer Association.
We have numerous coaching activities and resources available in PlayMetrics and on our Coaching Resources page. These include booklets written by Vince Ganzberg, National Director of Education for US Soccer.  
We use high school trainers on the fields to assist coaches when running practice sessions.

Miscellaneous Information​

If a team does not have a coach by August 3, that team may be disbanded and registration fees will be refunded.
Registration groups/practice time options will close as they reach capacity.  Players may be added to a waitlist for other available nights after registration closes.​​

SCSA Refund/Cancellation Policies

Club Policies 

It is the intention of SCSA to provide 15 events for U6 and up age groups and 11 events for Little Stars during each soccer season. An event is defined as either a practice or a game. The schedule will be made at the beginning of each season and adhered to throughout the season. Due to the limited flexibility within the schedule, cancelled events cannot be made up. However, practices may be replaced with games to help offset any cancelled games during the season.

Once the season has begun, we do not provide refunds, as many program expenses and fees are paid in advance and cannot be recouped.
